Creating collaborations and partnerships for a more risk resilient world.

About Us

ARISE was established by UN Secretariat for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) with this mission: “To create risk-resilient societies by energizing the private sector in collaboration with the public sector and other stakeholders to achieve the outcome and goal of the Sendai Framework in a transparent and inclusive way that delivers local and measurable impact.”

Programs and Projects

We convene symposia on DRR issues to identify practical contributions that we can make.  We create free tools such as our Scorecards for city DRR (used by over 350 cities), buildings, and engagement of small-medium enterprises; our Critical Asset Management System (CAMS); Action Guides; and our community wildfire risk reduction toolkit.

Get In Touch

Get in touch with us to: raise awareness and advocate for resilience issues; build your own and your organization's network; gain recognition and visibility; share knowledge; and make practical contributions to a more resilient world.

Events

Our events focus on specific resilience issues, usually in a virtual symposium format, and by design include multiple stakeholders.  The idea is to examine the issue and potential solutions, build common ground and identify practical work items that we can take forward as projects to enable those solutions.
